Lomu goes to Cardiff 01/10/05
Expected to be playing soon
The mighty Jonah Lomu has signed to play for Cardiff Blues and is expected to be playing early in December, according to the Blues' website.

Lomu is expected to arrive in Wales in the middle of November with a view to making his debut for the Blues in the first week of December. He will be available to play for the Blues in the Celtic League, the Powergen Cup and the Heineken Cup.

Lomu, the hottest property in world rugby after his performances in the 1995 World Cup, was not expected to play again after serious kidney problems which necessitated a transplant. He made a comeback at Twickenham this year when he led a team against a Martin Johnson XV but was injured in the match and underwent shoulder surgery.

Lomu, who is still only 30, made his Test debut against France in 1994, the youngest All Black ever, playing on the wing after being a star for New Zealand Schools the year before as a No.8.
